"The light! The light!" I finally get what photographers are obsessing over. The light in these shots by the super talented Dawn Altier is phenomenal. She chose Gum Grove park in Seal beach as the venue and Cassandra Richardson modeled and helped style this shoot. She's so pretty I barely even notice the flowers. She's also super professional and easy going. We had her traipsing though the dry California brush and she never complained. Kim Orthel lent her jewelry talents and worked as the photo assistant. The magical mermaid hair was styled by Boots Guzman. 

As for the flowers, I was feeling a little mystical and aggressive. Velvet Burgundy Tess roses, cobra lilies, rattlesnake grass and acid green maidenhair fern gave it a really witchy vibe. Poison Ivy would be proud.
